How Sweet It Is Chef Competition

Join us as WNC Cheese Trail member chefs pair up with WNC Cheese Trail cheese makers to create a taste sensation!   Check back to learn who will be competing and who will be judging.  People's Award Judging tickets click HERE.   The winner(s) will be announced at 3 p.m.

While at the fest, be sure to stop by the booth to see if we have any remaining tasting tickets.

The Gathering of Cheesemakers
Time: Ongoing throughout festival

​Find this gathering of cheesemakers in the Meadow Area. Many of the regions best cheesemakers and other local  artisan food producers will be setup to sample and sell their wide variety of cheeses, meats, bread, mustards, jams, gelato, goat milk and more!

NEW THIS YEAR - Family Tent - Children & their parents can try their hand at making butter, challenge each other at Tic-Tac-Cheese, join the Big Cheese word-search tournament, and even participate in a scavenger hunt. 

Kid Corral - learn about the animals that bring us milk for fabulous cheese!  We'll have kids and calves.

pairiNgs 2018 

Join the experts to learn about pairing cheese with your favorite beverage.  You'll be guided through each pairing by a cheese expert and a beer maker, or a cider maker or a trained wine expert.  This is a fantastic way to learn  about where these products come from, how they are made, and why they go so well together.

The pairings will be held in the Highland Brewery Event Center and are ticketed events* ($10 per person per pairing plus service charges).

TIME: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. (this will be a repeat of the earlier pairing)

Noble Cider & WNC Cheese Pairing

TIME: 3:40 - 4:40 p.m.

*Please note, in addition to the Pairings ticket, you must purchase a General Admission  or Early Entry cheese fest ticket  to be admitted into any of the pairing events.  ​

​Workshops are FREE but have limited seating.  We encourage you to reserve your space .  If the workshop fills up you will be added to the waitlist and will receive an email letting you know that you're on the waitlist.
